This could not be further from the truth. Through working on clear choices and tradeoffs, strategy is created and then organisations systems, energy and resources are put behind creating fit and reinforcement around it in every possible way. The approaches I take often include a strategic plan, an operational plan, organisational culture development through executive retreats, leadership summits, performance and development conversations, internal communication, and personal accountabilities to create competitive advantage and long term effectiveness.
